Job Description: Substitute teachers educate students by faithfully executing the lesson plans that the regular classroom teacher prepares. Candidates must
- Fill out a certified application, and submit it to our district office
- Obtain a Department of Public Safety fingerprint card
- Obtain substitute teacher certification from the Arizona Department of Education
Candidates with a high school diploma, GED, or associate degree can obtain an emergency substitute certificate, renewable annually. Candidates with a bachelor’s degree can qualify for a permanent substitute certificate.
Compensation: Substitutes earn $68.00 per day with an emergency substitute certificate and $73.00 per day with a permanent substitute certificate.
Position: Paraprofessional Teaching Assistant [continuous opening]:

Job Description & Qualifications: Paraprofessional teaching assistants provide academic and behavioral support for students under the supervision of certified classroom teachers. Candidates must:

- Pass a criminal background check
Paraprofessional Certification Requires:
- A high school diploma or GED
- At least 60 college credit hours or successful passage of an online paraprofessional examination
The typical paraprofessional contract averages 26 hours per five-day week.
