Joanna Higgins grew up in South Berwick, Maine. She graduated from Saint Anselm College in Manchester, New Hampshire with a Bachelors Degree in English. She then went on to get her Master of Arts in Teaching Elementary Education from the University of Maine. Her husband Ryan is a children’s book author and illustrator (Check out www.cockleburybooks.com!) She moved to Ajo, Arizona with Ryan, her two dogs, three cats, one gecko, and two lizards. Since relocating, she has become an avid Angels fan. Although, in truth, her heart still belongs to the Red Sox.
