Good Morning. Tuesday April 22st is a great day to be a Red Raider at Ajo Schools, where everyone graduates college and career ready.

Congratulations to the baseball team for beating Antelope Union yesterday. Chucky Tapp and Martin Alvarez each hit twice and batted in a run. Josiah Nez hit a 3-RBI triple late in the game to secure a Red Raider victory.

Red Raiders! It's time for you to flaunt your best talents at the student council spring talent show. Any student from pre-K to high school can sign up for it on the 21st at the main office. Tryouts and rehearsals will take place on the week of the 28th. Then on May 7th at 6:00, you will have the opportunity to showcase your skills in front of your friends and family. Prizes will be awarded to the top 3 contestants. See Bobbie Alcanzo or Ms Wilkins for more details.

Are you a leader? Are you a credible voice for the student body of Ajo High School? Are you ready for the awesome responsibility of planning pep rallies, fundraisers, Homecoming, Reindeer Games, Peopleís Choice Awards, the high school field day, and other edifying events? Do you have what it takes to go to StuCo state and represent righteously for the Red Raiders? Then you should consider running for Student Council office. Available positions include president, vice president, secretary, treasurer and social chair for the 2014-15 school year. Applications are available in the school office, and are due by May 3rd. Donít waste another minute; step up and be a leader.

Red Raiders, are you bright and energetic? Do you want to meet high school students from across the state while sharpening your leadership skills? Apply for the Governorís Youth Commission. Lindsey Leon applied and was selected to serve. This time you could be chosen! See Dr. Carriere for more info.

Seniors! Bring your parents to our Senior Class meeting tonight at 6PM in Room 3. This meeting is to plan the dinner/limo rides for prom and concession stand refreshments for our last home games. These might be your final fundraisers for the Senior Trip so we can go to Knottís Berry Farm! See you at the meeting!!!

Red Raider Scholars! Are you hoping to join National Honor Society? Our NHS students must be sophomores, juniors, and seniors; have a cumulative GPA at least 3.0; and be recognized for Scholarship, Leadership, Character, and Service. We now have the list of students who meet the GPA requirement. Packets went out to eligible students last week. Packets are due to Dr. Carriere today.

Prom is finally here, an enchanting night in an enchanted kingdom. Get a date, buy tickets and have the time of your life! Tickets are on pre-sale, $25 for singles and $45 for couples. At the door $30 for singles and $55 for couples. See Alyssa Arancon and Evelyn Mendez for tickets and information.

Donít throw cash in the trash. Clip those Box Tops and bring them in.

Lunch today is pizza with salad, fruit and milk.

Weíre still working for an A every day. Work hard and get smart, Red Raiders!
