Middle School Language Arts Teacher
Certified Application Job Description: This position's primary goal will to be guide the learning process toward the achievement of state and district curriculum goals within the content area of Language Arts and Writing for the 6th, 7th and 8th Grades. The individual must possess the ability to establish and communicate clear objectives to the students for all lessons, units and projects. The individual is responsible for challenging all students to achieve their personal best through rigorous, engaging, innovative processes and guides the learning process towards the achievement of curriculum goals. The individual will develop plans to meet desired student performance objectives for all lessons, units and projects, and communicate these objectives to students and parents. The individual will assess students to determine whether desired student performance objectives are being achieved and employ instructional methods and materials that are most appropriate for meeting stated objectives.
A successful candidate must posses a Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university and hold or be able to attain an appropriate teaching certificate as issued by the State of Arizona.
Paraprofessional/Teacher’s Aide:
Classified Application Job Description: Teaching assistants are needed for both the elementary and secondary levels. You will be part of the classroom team; working with a certified teacher and other teaching assistants to assist with the overall classroom routine, which includes: language/communication skills, academic instruction, behavior management, self-help and social skills. M-F, 8:40-3:10 or as designated.
Substitute Teachers; Elementary, Middle, and High School
Certified Application Job Description:
The successful candidate will need to have or be qualified to become emergency certified in Arizona as a substitute teacher. Candidates must have at least 60 college credit hours to achieve emergency certification, and a bachelor s degree to achieve full certification. Candidates must be cleared through a state background check, work well with others, and enjoy interaction with youth.
Other:
Base salaries begin at $68.00 per day with an emergency certificate, and $73.00 per day fully credentialed.
