After studying the work of Pop Artist, Edward Ruscha, the students learned about onomatopoeia (the formation of a word from a sound associated with what it is named). The students chose an onomatopoeia and a font to sketch. The students also chose a complimentary color pair to paint their onomatopoeia onto cardboard. Using acrylic paint, they completed their piece by creating an interesting shape for a background and cutting it out.
