Shapes - From Geometric to Organic
Grade 3

In this lesson, students reviewed organic and geometric shapes. They used shape templates to fill their page with geometric shapes. The students used washable markers to fill in their geometric shapes. Then the students dripped water onto their drawings, which caused the marker colors to spread and create interesting areas of negative space. After the work dried, the students used a fine point black pen to trace these new organic shapes that were formed. Finally, the students signed their names.
