Zoë Walsh Art

Statement:
Zoë = Life
"My work is about honoring the Devine feminine in us all. The beauty and imperfect experience of this life expressed through the word of a strong, singular, emerging voice of woman. Sometimes this means a 'reconstruction', sometimes a 'transformation'; but always with an underlying belief in the joy of the process".
For over 25 years, Ms. Walsh has been professionally sculpting and drawing the figure. After preliminary university studies, she began an intensive figurative study with such master sculptors as Robert Martini and the Italian Sculptor, Rudy Turini.
Next she learned the fine Art of Lost Wax Casting at the Foundry in Carbondale Illinois. Ms. Walsh received her Bachelors of Fine Art in Sculpture and Drawing from the University of Southern Illinois, Carbondale.
Ms. Walsh has been honored with acceptance into many Juried Exhibitions across the US as well as being bestowed by many awards such as Purchase Awards and Best of Show.
In 2007 she relocated her art studio to Ajo, in order to take advantage of the Curley School Artist Studios sponsored by ISDA.
'Ms. Zoë' really enjoys creating artwork with the students at AUSD since joining the staff in 2008.
Currently, Ms. Walsh has a one woman show at the Tucson Main Library.
Zoë's work is held in Private collections across the US.
