Preschool Parent Meeting

Are you interested in enrolling your child in a pre-k program? We invite you to our parent meeting on May 2, 2018. There will be two times available for you to attend, at 1:30 p.m. and 3:15 p.m., in room 29. Applications are available at the school office, at the parent meeting with Mrs. Cotay, or you can view our pre-k scholarship and application packet. Kindergarten Round Up

Attention Parents! If your child is 5 years old or will be 5 by September 1, 2018, we invite you to our Kindergarten Round Up on Wednesday, May 2 at 1:30 p.m. and again at 3:30 p.m. in the kinder classrooms, room 30 and 31. For more information, please contact the school office at (520) 387.7602.

Late Start on Thursday, April 26

Due to a scheduled power outage, the Ajo Unified School District will begin school at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, April 26. Thursday, April 26 will also be the last day of tutoring. We will have a full day of school on Friday, April 27. We will pick up Lukeville and Why bus riders around 9:00 a.m. Please see our power outage notice and schedule for more information. You may also contact us if you have additional questions.

AzMERIT Testing For High School Students

AzMERIT testing begins on Thursday, April 5 for high school students. The testing schedule is as follows:

  • Thursday, April 5: We will administer the end of course (EOC) English language arts writing tests to students taking English 9, 10, and 11. This includes students retaking the classes online.
  • Tuesday, April 17: We will administer the end of course (EOC) English language arts reading part I tests to students taking English 9, 10, and 11. This includes students retaking the classes online.
  • Wednesday, April 18: We will administer the end of course (EOC) English language arts reading part II tests to students taking English 9, 10, and 11. This includes students retaking the classes online.
  • Monday, April 23: We will administer the end of course (EOC) math part I tests to students taking algebra I, geometry, and algebra II. This includes students retaking the classes online.
  • Tuesday, April 24: We will administer the end of course (EOC) math part II tests to students taking algebra I, geometry, and algebra II. This includes students retaking the classes online.

Senior Yearbook Deadline

Seniors, the deadline for your yearbook submission is fast approaching! Some soon-to-be graduates still have not submitted a senior quote, so quotes are being chosen for them! If you want to choose or write your own, please see Athina Alegria immediately.

2017-2018 Yearbooks

It’s almost time for the 2017-2018 yearbook! Order yours today with Angelina in the district office. It costs only $35 for a book full of memories from the school year. Don’t miss out!

Upcoming Testing

AzMERIT testing is about to begin and it will continue for a couple of weeks. Later on, we’ll have two short days of MAP testing. Get ready for the challenge to show what you know!
