Ms. Lloyd-Mills, Community Manager from Freeport-McMoran, came to the Ajo Unified School District Office on October 25 to present a grant award of $75,000 for the Sports Facilities.
She expressed a great deal of enthusiasm and was received by our AUSD Red Raider Team that included one of our Board Members Ms. Trish Olsen, Mrs. Julianne Koozer-Ajo Booster Club President, Ms. Ginger Wiley-Zambrano and Ms. Gloria Gutierrez of our Finance Office, Mr. Jose Yon and Mr. Daniel Cotton, Facilities & Operations Managers, Mr. KC and Ms. Mercy Arancon of our Grants Team, and our Principal Dr. Chebultz. This grant award was a true testament of the teamwork that was required to achieve this goal, and she encouraged AUSD to continue to pursue more grants with Freeport-McMoran in the future.
